Like the “Dune” and “Denim” editions from this year’s available lineup, #PinkBeetle boasts a bold and modern twist with: Bi-Xenon headlights, LED Daytime Running Lights and the latest infotainment system with App-Connect. We’ve also added bold accents like R-Line bumpers, gloss-black mirror caps and black running boards.
It’s also as striking on the inside, as it is on the outside – with perfectly-matched Pink Metallic accents on everything from the plaid seats and trim, to the dashboard and the floormats. But the fun doesn’t stop with colour. Under the hood lies a 1.8 L turbocharged TSI engine hooked to a six-speed automatic transmission that gives you 170 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque.

We were in Montreal at EVS29. Read about our plans for e-mobility in Canada.
As part of our commitment to the future of e-mobility, we attended the Electric Vehicle Symposium (EVS29) from June 19th – 22nd. On display at the show we brought an e-Golf and a German model Golf GTE.
The e-Golf is our 100% electric Golf offering. Featuring the same Golf design you know and love, it’s all Golf, and all electric. Attendees to the show were impressed by how the e-Golf doesn’t sacrifice interior space for batteries, and were equally interested in the sleek front light design.
The Golf GTE is outfitted with our powerful 1.4L TSI® engine and an electric motor that, when combined, deliver almost GTI-like performance. It’s a milestone in drive technology that’s urban-ready and exhilarating to drive.
We’re working to bring the e-Golf to Canada in the future, so make sure you check out vwmodels.ca/egolf and sign up for updates!
Overall, the show was a huge success. It was great seeing so many Volkswagen fans interested in electric vehicles. Thanks everyone for coming out!

On May 8th, we were at the Sporting Life 10K in support of Camp Ooch.
On May 8th, 2016 we supported the annual Sporting Life 10k and helped to raise over 2.1 million dollars for Camp Oochigeas. As a proud partner to Camp Ooch, we’re excited to have had so much support for such a great cause. We are thrilled to announce that with the total raised, over 600 kids affected by cancer will be able experience a life-changing two weeks of fun, laughter and friendship at Camp Ooch.
Among the racers were a team of over 35 Volkswagen employees who braved the unpredictable Spring weather to raise funds and earn their “We Run for Ooch” race medals. Great job team!
Our Beetle Denim Convertible pace car lead the way to the finish line, where we gave the racers a chance to take a picture and dedicate their race to the inspiring loved-ones they were running for.
After such a successful day we’d like to thank the the race organizers, volunteers and runners who made it possible and everyone who donated or came out to support Camp Ooch. Thanks to you, over 600 children affected by cancer will get the chance to just be kids again.
