Our partnership with the JUNO Awards was music to our ears.
From March 28th to April 3rd, we spent an exciting week in Calgary as a sponsor of the 2016 Juno Awards.
The 2016 Beetle Denim Convertible and 2016 Beetle Dune were our hero models during the week. The Beetle Dune starred in a short video with Canadian music stars Brett Kissel, Scott Helman and Francesco Yates. JUNO host Jann Arden also drove a Beetle Denim Convertible in a short video we aired during the JUNO broadcast. You can check out the two videos on our Facebook page if you missed them—or if you’d just like to watch them again!
Throughout the week, we ran contests that gave Volkswagen owners and fans the opportunity to win tickets to JUNO week events—including the chance to walk the red carpet and watch the show live. Winners of our “Walk the Red Carpet” passes were given a lift to the event in a Tiguan, so they got the whole celebrity treatment!
Many nominees arrived in Volkswagen vehicles. We have pictures from the red carpet you can check out on our Facebook page.
All in all we had a great time covering the 2016 JUNO Awards. Thanks for your hospitality Calgary, and congratulations again to all the talented nominees and winners at this year’s show!
We’ve travelled from coast to coast meeting VW fans across Canada.
On March 27 we finished our four-day run at the Vancouver Autoshow. We’ll be moving east to Edmonton for our last show of the season, and we’re looking forward to meeting some more Albertans before packing it in and heading home!
If you’ve missed some of our vehicle launches this year, you’ll still have the chance to check them out! We’re moving the 2016 Beetle Dune, 2016 Beetle Denim Convertible, and the 2017 Golf Alltrack to our final show – make sure you visit us and check them out.
Attendees were excited to see the 2017 Golf Alltrack in Quebec City.
From March 1-6, we set up a stage at the 2016 Quebec City Autoshow and gave fans a taste of what Volkswagen has in store for 2016.
Vehicles like the 2016 Beetle Dune, 2016 Beetle Denim Convertible and 2017 Golf Alltrack generated buzz, while the redesigned Passat, and the Jetta with its new 1.4 TSI® engine, piqued the interest of old and new fans alike.
If you’ve missed out, don’t worry! There are more autoshows to come. Keep checking vwpulse.ca for more information on where we’ll be and what we’re up to.
Autoshow Update: That’s a wrap, Calgary.
As the last Autoshow attendees filed out of Calgary’s BMO Centre, the Calgary Autoshow came to an end. It was our first of three autoshows in Western Canada, and what a show it was!
Two retro-inspired Beetles were on display in Calgary – the 2016 Beetle Dune and 2016 Beetle Denim Convertible. The Beetle Dune, inspired by the California Baja Bugs of the 1960s, and the Beetle Denim Convertible, inspired by the “Jeans Bug” of the 1970s, caught the imaginations of many Autoshow attendees who visited the Volkswagen stage in Calgary.
We have three more shows to go, so make sure you check us out at our next stop on the autoshow circuit: Ottawa!
